VPN IR HELP CENTER
Connection & Subscription Troubleshooting
Find instructions by the stage where the issue occurs. Check your account and subscription status first, then troubleshoot the client, server, and target service to avoid repeatedly switching between settings.
ACCOUNT / SUBSCRIPTION
Account & Subscription
Manage registration, subscription access, configuration updates, and device changes. Personal subscriptions are account connection credentials and should be stored only on controlled devices and in trusted clients.
Do I need an email address to register for VPN IR?
No. You can register with a username and password. Store both in a trusted password manager and avoid reusing the same credentials across websites. After registering, open the user panel to choose a plan, then download the client and your personal subscription.
Where can I find my subscription after purchase?
Sign in to the user panel and open the download area to get the client and personal subscription for your platform. VPN IR supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Your subscription is an account connection credential. Do not publish it on public pages or forward it to untrusted people.
How should I update my subscription link?
Find the current subscription in your client and use its update or refresh function to fetch the server list again. If the client says the subscription has expired, sign in to the user panel to confirm the plan status, then copy your personal subscription again from the download area and replace the old configuration. You can keep the original configuration until the new list works normally, then remove the old entry.
Do I need to purchase again after changing devices?
No. Changing devices does not require another purchase. VPN IR has no device limit, so you can sign in on supported platforms and import the subscription linked to the same account. When an old device is no longer in use, remove the saved subscription and sign-in status to reduce the time personal connection credentials remain on an idle device.
CONNECTION / CHECK
Connections & Troubleshooting
Separate underlying network, client configuration, and target app issues first. Change only one part at a time, reconnect, and test again so the actual cause is easier to identify.
The client says it is connected, but a webpage still will not open. What should I do?
Disconnect first, switch to another server, reconnect, then close and reopen the target webpage. If it still will not load, check that the system time is correct, the browser is not retaining an old connection state, and other network tools are not also controlling the system proxy. Temporarily disable conflicting tools and test again.
Why is an app not using the proxy?
A common cause is rule-based routing: the target app's connection has been classified as direct. Save any ongoing work, then switch to global mode for comparison. If the app works globally, check the routing rules and target domain. After switching modes, fully quit and reopen the app.
What should I check if importing a subscription fails?
First confirm that you copied the complete personal subscription provided in the user panel, and check for spaces or line breaks at either end. Then make sure the client came from the panel's download area and that the current network can complete a subscription update. If it still fails, delete the failed configuration, copy the subscription again, and add it as a new entry instead of repeatedly editing the old content.
How should I troubleshoot frequent connection drops?
First check whether the underlying network is also unstable by disconnecting VPN IR and opening a few familiar webpages for comparison. If the underlying network is stable, switch servers and reconnect. If it is unstable too, restore the local network first. Sleep mode, network changes, or system power saving can also interrupt a connection; check the connection status again after recovery.
ROUTE / PERFORMANCE
Speed & Servers
Server performance depends on the local network, exit region, target service, and current transfer activity. Match the server to your purpose first, then monitor sustained connection performance.
What should I do if the connection slows down during peak evening hours?
During evening congestion, do not rapidly cycle through multiple servers. Stop large file transfers first, choose another server in the same target region, reconnect, and then reopen the target service. If several apps are using bandwidth at once, pause nonessential tasks. Performance is also affected by the local carrier, wireless network quality, and the target service's status.
How do I choose the right server?
Choose the target region based on your purpose first, then compare connection stability. For everyday browsing and work, start with a geographically closer region. For content with regional requirements, choose an exit location that matches the content. After connecting, test webpage loading, account sign-in, and sustained transfers before starting important work.
Streaming works, but playback is unstable. What should I do?
First confirm that the server region matches the content region, then close the player and reconnect. Open the streaming service only after reconnecting so the app does not reuse the previous network session. Pause system updates and large-file syncing during playback. If buffering continues, test another server in the same region.
What should I do if I cannot find the country or region I need?
VPN IR covers 90+ countries / 200+ servers. Update the subscription in your client, confirm that the server list has refreshed, and use the client's search function to find the region. Some servers may be listed by city or purpose rather than only by country. If it is still missing, submit a ticket in the user panel and specify the target region.
BILLING / REFUND
Billing & Refunds
Before paying, verify the plan type, data rules, and account status. Handle orders, upgrades, and refund requests through the user panel so a complete record is retained.
Which monthly subscription plans are available?
Monthly plans include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. Consider your browsing, video streaming, file transfer, and multi-device needs rather than comparing plans by price alone. The user panel shows the current plan details and status.
What is the difference between a data package and a monthly subscription?
Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date. Data packages remain available until used and never expire. Data packages include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. Compare monthly plans if you use the service continuously with relatively stable monthly needs; compare data packages if usage is occasional or demand varies.
How is a mid-cycle plan upgrade calculated?
For a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Before proceeding, verify the current plan, remaining status, and upgrade details in the user panel, then confirm the change. After upgrading, refresh the account overview and client subscription to ensure the new plan status and server configuration are synchronized. Do not submit the change repeatedly on multiple pages.
Which payment methods are supported?
Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. Open the user panel, choose a plan, and pay using the methods shown on the checkout page. Before submitting, verify the plan name, amount, and account status. After payment, return to the account overview to check the result. If the status has not updated, do not pay again; keep the order details and contact support through a ticket.
How do I request a refund?
VPN IR offers 60-day refunds. To request one, sign in to the user panel, open the ticket area, select the relevant order, and describe your refund request. Verify the account and order details before submitting to avoid selecting the wrong transaction. Processing updates are recorded in the ticket; add any necessary order information in the same ticket.
